FLOATING BIRD BATH TOY – An orange glass ball floats in a birdbath in the Tualatin garden of John and Mary Jo VanNortwick. Birds bathe and drink in the water without being afraid of the floating ball, according to Mary Jo.

The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools' fourth annual fund-raiser, Seeding Our Future Garden Tour & Art Show, is set for Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27.
The garden tour itself is set for Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine.
"People are invited to tour six fabulous, private gardens in Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood, each one a unique blend of beauty and passion," said Becky Hurd, co-chairwoman of the event. "Revel in the beauty of Bella Madrona, a 5-acre, art-filled collector's garden. Bask in a sun-filled Southern charmer, a designated Western bluebird habitat.
"Daydream in a lushly planted, woodland wonderland. Be dazzled by fragrance and flowers. Listen to waterfalls and bird song."
Guests also will be able to draw inspiration and knowledge from garden hosts, tour volunteers, special guest Kym Pokorny, garden writer for The Oregonian, and Oregon State University Extension Master Gardener volunteers.
Tickets are required for the garden tour.
